Global data set (or dataset)
A collection of data whose scope covers all findings of a category or variable on a world or planetary scale.
In the case of tabular data, a data set corresponds to one or more database tables, where every column of a table represents a particular variable, and each row corresponds to a given record of the data set in question. The data set lists values for each of the variables such as, for example, size, value or frequency of an asset (e.g., housing or land), for each member of the data set. Data sets can also consist of a collection of documents or files.
Global data are used in machine learning, predictive modeling, and other advanced analytics to solve problems and make informed decisions of global reach and significance.
