Resettlement (apartheid South Africa)

From the 1950s until the early 1980s, the Government of South African implemented a “resettlement” policy that forced people into their designated group areas. This policy, amounting to “forced removal,” affected an estimated three and a half million. (See “Forced removal” above.)
