New Guidelines for States on Land Administration

The Committee on World Food Security led intergovernmental negotiations toward a new set of Voluntary Guidelines for the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests in the Context of National Food Security. The negotiations took place on 10–15 October, 2011, with significant progress made, as participants reviewed 75% of the guidelines. The negotiations have been adjourned and will be reconvened at later stage, with the exact dates provided in due course. The first Draft with Consolidated Changes is available online (Arabic). This document will be the basis for the next round of negotiations, which will recommence as soon as possible.
