Cihan Uzunçarşılı Baysal

is an independent researcher and member of Istanbul City Defense and Northern Forests Defense. She graduated from Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (1980), and wrote her master`s thesis on the right to housing at Istanbul Bilgi University, Institute of Social Sciences, Human Rights Law (2010). She has worked in urban movements such as Imece-Society`s Urbanism Movement, Sulukule Platform, Ayazma Victims, and Istanbul City Movements.
